Pesto Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

Burgers:

454g1lb lean ground chicken

1 clove garlic, minced

45ml3 tbsp prepared pesto

15ml1 tbsp chopped sun dried tomatoes

45ml3 tbsp Parmigiano cheese

15ml1 tbsp Crisco® Canola or Vegetable Oil for grilling

4 hamburger buns

Toppings:

4 slices Bococcini cheese

50ml¼ cup fresh basil leaves

4 Bick’s® Sandwich Savers® 50% Less Salt Tangy Dill Pickles

30ml2 tbsp Bick’s Zesty Onion Relish

4 lettuce leaves

4 slices tomato

Directions

  Burgers:

 1 Combine all ingredients and shape into 4 patties. Preheat barbeque grill to high.

 2 Lightly brush one side of each patty with oil. Place oiled side down on hot grill and then oil top side. Cook, 4-5 minutes per side or until an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.

 3 Place on hamburger buns and top with toppings.

Tip(s)

These burgers freeze really well, raw or cooked. To freeze them raw, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and then place in freezer bag. To cook from frozen, lightly oil them and place on hot grill. Add an additional 3-5 minutes cooking time per side.
