Pickled Beet Hummus

Ingredients

540 mL1 19oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

250 mL1 cup Bick’s® Sliced Beets

50 mL1/4 cup olive oil

50 mL1/4 cup plain yogurt

3 cloves garlic, minced

5 mL1 tsp salt

1 mL1/4 tsp hot sauce, optional

Directions

 1 Place chickpeas, beets, olive oil, yogurt and garlic in food processor. Blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and hot sauce. 

 2 Transfer hummus to a medium bowl. Cover and chill. Serve with warm pita chips, crackers of your choice or fresh cut vegetables.

Tip(s)

To save time hummus can be made 1 day ahead.
